Your portfolio is yours. The holdings you add or import are private to your account. We never ask for your brokerage login or passwords, and the app cannot place trades or move money.

How it’s protected. Your data is stored in an access-controlled database with row-level security, so one account can never read another’s holdings. Private messages are additionally encrypted, and all traffic is served over HTTPS.

We never sell your data. We do not sell, rent, or share your holdings or personal information with advertisers or data brokers. Only anonymous, aggregated usage may be used to improve the product.

Who can see what. By default no one else sees your portfolio. If you choose to make a fund public, others see only your allocation split — the percentage in each holding — never the dollar amounts invested, your cost basis, or your net worth.

Regulation. Today Olnest is an educational and personal-tracking tool and is not a regulated financial firm. Before it ever handles client investments, it will register with and operate under the relevant financial-services regulator (such as the FCA in the UK or the SEC in the US), with the disclosures that requires.

Rooms are members-only chats about investing. Every message is checked automatically, by an AI model, before it is posted. A message that breaks these rules is refused: it is not posted, we don’t store it, and you are told which rule it broke so you can reword it. If the check can’t run, nothing is posted.

No hate, harassment, sexual content, threats or encouragement of violence or self-harm, spam, scams or pump-and-dump schemes, and no one else’s private information. Keep it about investing. Ordinary conversation between members is fine, and so are strong opinions and criticism of companies.

Founder and agency accounts can’t share a way to be reached outside Olnest in a room: no email addresses, phone numbers, handles or outside links. Members reach you through Olnest. Founder accounts also can’t raise money in a room: no raise terms (the amount, the valuation or cap, cheque sizes or round terms), no invitations to invest, and no invitations to message you for a deck, a data room or terms. Agencies in the Business Centre are independent businesses. A quote an agency sends a startup is an agreement between the startup and the agency. Olnest isn’t a party to it and doesn’t guarantee the work. The startup pays the agency, in the way the two of them agree. The money does not pass through Olnest.

Our referral fee. When a startup becomes an agency’s client through Olnest, the agency pays us a referral fee of 10% (15% for Flagship agencies) of every quote that client accepts in its first 24 months as the agency’s client, collected from that client’s payments to the agency in Olnest. The agency pays it, not the startup, and it doesn’t change the price the founder pays. Legal, accounting, insurance and fundraising firms pay no referral fee.

Cancelling a project. If a founder cancels a project with an agency, the agency may send a final invoice for the work done up to the cancellation. In Olnest the agency marks the project cancelled and gives its reason, which the founder sees. The project’s milestones, files and messages are kept.

Only a founder whose project with an agency reads “Confirmed in Olnest” can review it, once per project. That label means the founder confirmed the project and we checked a document showing it happened. We don’t vouch for the work. Nobody on an agency’s own team can review its work.

We remove a review only for abuse, personal data, a conflict of interest or a falsehood — never for being negative. An agency can report a review to us, and it stays up while we look. If we remove one, we tell the startup and the agency why. An agency that disagrees with a review can reply to it publicly.

No rewarded reviews. An agency may not offer anything in return for a review, such as money, a discount or free work. A founder chooses whether a review shows their name. If they don’t, it is shown without their name or the project’s name.
